About the Center
International Academic Center of Sufi and Aesthetic Studies
Vision & mission
The Center works to restore the rightful place of spiritual and behavioral education, grounded in the Ash'ari creed, the Maliki school and the Sufi path, under the Commandery of the Faithful (Imarat al-Mu'minin). It trains researchers and students in Sufi and aesthetic thought through a range of academic, educational and spiritual activities.
Our activities
The Center organizes international conferences, academic seminars, spiritual retreats, scholarly councils and educational sessions for children and youth, with a notable presence in national and international media.

The Center has welcomed delegations from more than 30 countries and forged partnerships with international universities and institutes; it has also represented Morocco at major international conferences in Indonesia, Malaysia and Europe.

His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Aziz El-Kobaiti Idrissi El-Hassani
His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Aziz El-Kobaiti Idrissi El-Hassani, president of the International Academic Center of Sufi and Aesthetic Studies, is a leading figure of contemporary spiritual education. Combining scholarly depth with educational experience, he has helped root the landmarks of authentic Moroccan Sufism within Morocco and beyond. He oversees a series of scholarly councils and tazkiya retreats, and leads the Center in organizing pioneering international conferences that gather an elite of scholars and thinkers from around the world, striving to revive the meanings of prophetic conduct and moral purification in an age of manifold challenges.
